Arcoverde is a Brazilian municipal district of the state of Pernambuco. Latitude 08º25'08 " South and a longitude 37º03'14 " West, being the an altitude of 663 meters. Arcoverde Old population and headquarters of the District of Eye of water (Olho d´Água), located in the then municipal district of Cimbres, Arcoverde went by other denominations as Eye Of water of Bredos (Olho D´Água dos Bredos) and Rio Branco, belonging to the municipal district of Pesqueira. In 1812, they already meet references the population Eye of water (Olho d´Água), where the farm Santa Rita existed, with a small church under the invocation of Our Lady of the Liberation (Nossa Senhora do Livramento).
