Talk:Archenemy Record Company
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I just made the page because the Freezepop article had an empty link to it. I figured something was better than nothing. The company does have 11 pages of google search results, and is already listed ont he disambiguation page for Archenemy_(disambiguation). The google search also lists several record label directories, radio stations with releases in ranked playlists, and reviews of releases. These seem like they might fall into the company criteria #2... --Lizstless 06:57, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Actually, upon further research into the music guidelines, I point out this: though there are no specific requirements in the music guidelines about label inclusion criteria, it does mention, under the music posting guidelines, that an "important indie label" is "an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable." I think this qualifies, as there are pre-existing entries for at least free of the bands on the label - freezepop, karacter and Lifestyle, as well as a mention of a fourth, The Elevator Drops, in the article about Weezer spinoff band The Rentals. It is also nearly ten years old, thus qualifying as "more than a few years" old. My logic would be that if the label fits into Wikipedia's stated definition of an "important indie label," then an entry belongs. --Lizstless 07:06, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
