[edit] Size
I've heard that this arena is very small in comparison to other NBA arenas, if this is true, I think it should be mentioned. Gopherbassist 03:05, 30 October 2006 (UTC)
- It may be one of the smallest arenas in the league; however, Sacramento is not exactly the largest market, so a substantially larger facility might see a lot of empty seats once the luster wore off. I know that the NBA had some other facilities in 15-16K seating range (e.g., Miami Arena and Houston Summit [Compaq Center]), but (like the two examples) they may have all been replaced by now. 4.243.152.100 07:10, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unfinished Baseball Stadium
I was looking at the arena under Google Maps and noticed there's an unfinished baseball stadium next to the arena. Anyone know why it wasn't completed?
The Sacramento Sports Association ran out of money during construction in 1989, and could never find an occupant- The Los Angeles Raiders deal fell through, and many attempts to move the San Francisco Giants or the Oakland A's never materialized. --75.32.77.130 04:41, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wood floors?
The arena has been noted for its loud character and continual at-capacity crowds, which, combined with wood floors, make it a tough environment for visiting teams.
I may be sadly mistaken, but isn't almost all basketball played on wooden courts? --Xyzzyva 01:06, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
The article is referring to the wood floors that the grandstand seats sit on, not the playing surface. --75.32.77.130 04:42, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
