[edit] History
The airline was established in 1973.[1] It operated charters throughout Europe and a scheduled passenger flight from Mannheim City Airport to Oberpfaffenhofen in the 1980s and scheduled flights to Leipzig and Dresden in the early nineties.
[edit] Cosmos Air
It's subsidiary Cosmos Air was founded in 1997 and started scheduled passenger flights between Mannheim City Airport and Berlin Tempelhof International Airport and London City Airport, the latter being cancelled due to lack of demand. It operated one Dornier Do 328 (D-COSA) carrying the Name of the City of Mannheim. Cosmos Air was taken over in 1999 by Cirrus Airlines, continuing the profitable flights to Berlin and adding more flights within Germany.[citation needed]
