Arco de São Jorge

Arco de São Jorge is a parish in the district of Santana in the Madeira Islands. The population in 2001 is 509, its density is 145.4/km² and the area is 3.5 km². It is the smallest parish in population and area and being the highest and second in density in Santana. It is located NW of Santana. The main industry is agriculture. It is connected with a road linking to Santana, Machico and the western part of the island. The Atlantic Ocean is to the north. The mountains are to the south.
