Landscape Architecture is a new practice in Kenya and was inaugurated in Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology in 2001. There have been two group of graduates who are currently practitioning. Although there is much appreciation of the course here in Kenya, the practice is slowly starting to pick up and with time and government legislation, the course will help Kenya become one of the most beautiful countries in Africa

The profession, Landscape Architecture, is However Young and unappreciated in Kenya, unlike many developed countries! In essence, it is indeed pointless to spend 5 years of college studying a profession that could be learnt through apprenticeship!
