Archingeay is a commune in the canton of Saint-Savinien of the Charente-Maritime department in the Poitou-Charentes region in western France.

The origin of name came from the Roman general Arcantius, its name of inhabitants are Arcantois.
The commune entered the florist period, notably on usage on thermal source by the château de la Vallée west of Archingeay and was renamed under the therapeutic properties (digestive disease, etc.). Between other persons, the Roman general Arcantius.

- Saint-Martin church (Saint Martin), built in the 12th century
- Ferrugineous fountain, built by the Romans during the Gallo-Roman period, the general Arcantius passed for its baths.

- Les Trésors de Lisette Museum - it features. It opens during June, July and August from 3 p.m. (15:00) to 7 p.m. (19:00).
