Archibald Ackroyd
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Archibald Ackroyd (May 18, 1897 — June 25, 1968) was an English cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler who played for Derbyshire between 1924 and 1925. He was born in Heanor and died in Dudley.
A frequent part of the Derbyshire lower-order for the two years in which he participated in First-class cricket, Ackroyd could not pick the team up from their bottom placing in the 1924 County Championship, and, despite playing more frequently during his second season at the club, was out of the team at the end of the year.
Twelve years after the end of his County career, Ackroyd represented Scotland in one first-class match.
