Archi Cianfrocco

Archibald Cianfrocco (born October 6, 1966 in Rome, New York) is a former professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball primarily as an infielder from 1992-1998. Selected by Pittsburgh Pirates in 11th Round (259th overall) of 1986 amateur entry draft. Selected and signed by the Montreal Expos in 5th Round (122nd overall) of 1987 amateur entry draft[1].

- On Hall of Fame Weekend August 4, 1997, won the Home Run Derby in Cooperstown[2].
- He was the San Diego Padres batter facing Tom Browning when the Cincinnati Reds pitcher broke his arm while delivering a pitch
- Cianfrocco remains a favorite reference for San Diego radio personality Cookie "Chainsaw" Randolph of the Dave, Shelly, and Chainsaw show on 101.5 KGB. Chainsaw frequently makes reference to Archi Cianfrocco when listing obscure, terrible, or (conversely) legendary San Diego Padres players of the past.
