Archdiocese of Trento
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Italian Catholic archdiocese of Trento, in the Triveneto, was created by the elevation in 1929 of the historical diocese of Trento, which as the bishopric of Trent had formed a state of the Holy Roman Empire. The archdiocese became a metropolitan see in 1964, and has the diocese of Bolzano-Bressanone as its suffragan.[1]
