Archdiocese of Ozamis

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ozamis is an ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines. Ozamis is the Archdiocese in the Province of Misamis Occidental, on the island of Mindanao.

The Diocese of Ozamis was erected on 27 January 1951, for the whole province of Misamis Occidental. The Archiocese comprises the following diocese: Dipolog, Iligan, Marawi, Pagadian. On February 17, 1971 Pope Paul VI elevated the Prelature of Ozamiz into a diocese. On the 24th of January 1983, the diocese was elevated to an archdiocese.
