Archdiocese of Cotabato

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cotabato is an ecclesiastical territory or diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines. Cotabato is the Archdiocese in the Province of cotabato, on the island of Mindanao.

Was carved out from the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro - the Diocese of Cotabato was erected on 11 August 1950 for the three provinces of Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao. The Diocese of Marbel and the Diocese of Kidapawan are its suffragans. On 5 November 1979 Pope John Paul II elevated the Diocese of cotabato into an Archdiocese.
