ARK (Archaeological Recording Kit) is a kit of tools for collection, storage and dissemination of archaeological data. Ark is based on industry standard data technologies (Apache/MySQL/PHP/UMN Mapserver) and is opensource.
The key aspects of Ark are as follows:

- flexible and customisable
- full spatial data integration
- web based
- open for export/import
It has been developed by L - P : Archaeology and is an opensource project designed to use web-based technologies to aid archaeological site directors to build their own customised archaeological recording system.
The project web page can be found here.
The Fasti Online project is built using an ARK back-end and demonstrates it usage beyond normal archaeological recording.
