Arcadia Neighborhood

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Arcadia is a neighborhood in Phoenix, Arizona. It is located in the boundaries of 44th street to 68th street and from Camelback Road to the Arizona Crosscut Canal. It is famous for its citrus trees, mainly orange and grapefruit. The area used to be occupied by citrus farmers from 1919 to the mid-1950s. In the mid-1950s, the rest of Phoenix caught up with the farms and they turned it into a neighborhood.[1]
