Wikipedia talk:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2007/Vote/Monsieurdl

Thanks for those who supported me and who really read what I had to say. I knew coming in that most of those who would Oppose me would judge me strictly based upon experience, and on the very first day my nightmare was realized. I still hold to my belief that you need not be an admin to do the very best job at arbitrating cases.

I'm not giving up, for there are a whole lot of historical articles that need dire work, and now I will have more free time. There are perhaps many more cases of arbitration on talk pages in one day than go to ArbCom in a month, and so on to the challenges ahead I go!

Thanks again!

P.S. "Meaningless platitudes" is too harsh for me. If I would have known I would have been superficially judged based upon just a candidate statement, I would have not answered any questions. I can accept being opposed for my experience, but I cannot accept my direct tackling of the relevance of the position as 'meaningless'.

This is the kind of attitude that turns off people from even trying to put out an effort to try and improve things here. I am very dissapointed that trying to make a difference would result in this- I'm not saying this for attention, but to show people that what they say can sometimes have an effect on people.
