[edit] Why I'm opposing
My experience with MastCell’s contributions, while limited, have led me to believe he is not a good candidate for arbcom. In a nutshell, MastCell blocked a user [1] with whom he had a previous dispute [2] and whom he had tangled in an arbcom decision [3] in which MastCell was heavily involved, posted a query as to the questionable block [4] on AN/I, received one brief, tepid post [5] of support from an uninvolved editor (after waiting just a few hours), then blocked the editor while the editor was away from Wikipedia. When objections were lodged [6],[7], [8], MastCell not only refused to consider that he might have done something wrong, but went on the attack [9] against the editors objecting, suggesting that criticism of his admin action constituted a violation of WP:NPA and WP:BATTLE.
Given the above, there are just too many question marks to allow me to vote yes. IronDuke 00:15, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
- Needless to say I strongly disagree with this formulation of events, but I've said everything I have to say about this particular episode at the relevant AN/I thread, in particular here. MastCell Talk 07:10, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
