[edit] culture prior to the horse culture

I would like to see articles on native peoples of the plains include a history of their culture before acquisition of the horse. All articles on the plains peoples seems to assume that their history and culture begain in the early to mid 18th century after the horse transformed the culture to a nomadic existence dependent on the buffalo. Were not most of these plains peoples agragrian prior to their acquisition of the horse? How did this affect their legends, relious rights and ceremonies, and their culture generally?
