Is filmic a word? 24.91.43.225 05:17, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

From dictonary.com: "Of, relating to, or characteristic of movies; cinematic.". RickK 05:41, Jun 6, 2005 (UTC)
Well wouldn't cinematic be a better word choice? Especially since it's follwed by "Indian film". 24.91.43.225 01:38, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Apu connection source?

Is there a source proving the Simpsons' Apu was named after the Apu Trilogy?

The trivia comes from List of The Simpsons name origins, which cites [1] as the reference, which in turn claims it is stated in some DVD. --euyyn 22:12, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Plot?

Hasn't anybody seen the films so we can add a Plot/Summary section which tells what are them about? --euyyn 22:33, 25 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:The Apu Trilogy.jpg

Image:The Apu Trilogy.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:24, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

This article should be renamed to Apu (film series) to bring it inline with the naming convention pertaining to film series. Let's discuss. - LA @ 10:52, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Survey

Please state whether or not you support the renaming of this article.

  • Oppose - Apu trilogy is the established, historical name for this trilogy. To change it simply for the sake of following a Wikipedia convention would be inaccurate. — WiseKwai 12:49, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
  • Oppose - The DVD release is clear and this is how it is commonly known in the vernacular. Reginmund 14:53, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
