Apoorva Agnihotri's debuted with the film "Pardes", where he co-starred with the Bollywood king Shahrukh Khan and which was directed by a legendary Director Subhash Ghai. The film was a super hit and his work was highly appreciated . He got a nomination of Best Supporting Actor in 1997's Zee Cine Awards for his performance in Pardes. (Reference 1). After that, he worked in a few other movies but none could bring fame or any award to him.

His life then changed one day when he was called by Diya and Tony, the producers at Sony Entertainment Television, to work in a Serial named Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin. He was offered the lead role of Armaan Suri: A man with grey shades who fell in love with his secretary Jasmeet Walia despite her ordinary looks. And that for Apoorva was a life changing experience. His work as Armaan Suri took everyone's heart away and he won The Indian Telly awards Best Actor Award for 2005, for his excellent performance (Reference 3).


He also worked in another Sony Entertainment Television serial, called, "Kaajjal - sabki aankhon mein basi". His role was of Dev Pratap Singh - A young,handsome, rich debonair, who falls in love with Kaajjal, a young chirpy girl from Mussourie. The serial is a tale of how love came into their lives, and their journey through it.

He did a wonderful job as Dev Pratap Singh,and we have never seen him shine so brightly. His heart throbbing looks and his flawless acting has made many go crazy, and he has received many praises and appreciation for it.

Apurva is married to Shilpa Sakhlani(Ganga of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi) , and leading a happy married life.
