Hello :)

I am currently a student at the University of California, San Diego, studying Literature/Writing and Anthropology. I am originally from Los Angeles, and divide my time between the two cities. I am particularly interested in film and the relationship between culture and international politics, in addition to gardening and personal finance. I spent a few years researching the drought tolerance of Southern California Chaparral plants in the family Rhamnaceae at Pepperdine University, and the maternal factors that contribute to childhood obesity at California State University, Los Angeles.

I usually use Wikipedia to get background/general information about whatever I may be wondering about at any given time (for example, how to approach aphids that invade my strawberry plants), and my edits usually attempt to neutralize any biased articles/sections I encounter. After all, we all have our opinions and experiences, which will inevitably find their way into what we write on Wikipedia. I hope that my usually minor edits will help call attention to this problem, and that more Wikipedians will approach Wikipedia with respect to neutrality.

As of late I have been particularly interested in improving the Bipolar Disorder and World Population articles.

Wikipedia hyperlinks are fantastic (can you tell? they're all over my page), because they allow you to bounce from one article to another and end up with Entrenchment clause when you began with Plato.

And lately I've been wondering why the heck anyone would spend $20 on a pair of Havaianas sandals when they look like they came from chinatown. If you really like Havaianas, please tell me why :)
