Moved suspicious birth from article:

Seems too young for an NFL career (hey, he's now 15!). The Ohio Swarm, a minor league team playing in the MCFL, has a receiver named "Ronald Walters". That's probably him, but untill he plays major league, I'd suggest not including him. Lupo 09:44, 19 Mar 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Sterling Sharpe

I suggest someone add Sterling Sharpe to the births. He was a first round draft pick, so he should be included. smithjacob

[edit] Greek soccer/football match notable?

A user has been making numerous entries regarding all things Greek. While som eof these make sense to me (e.g. birthdates of former Prime Ministers), some do not. I would like to hear you thoughts on deleting items such as this from the date page. My suggestion is to delete such material: "*1996 - Panathinaikos becomes the first Greek team to win the European Championships (now Euroleague) in Paris, beating FC Barcelona by 67-66." Looking forward to your thoughts. Thanks, Hu Gadarn 21:31, 27 February 2007 (UTC)

First I have to admit I know nothing about sports, American or any others (I tend to shy away from them for that reason). That being said, I know that football (soccer) is insanely popular everywhere in the world except the United States. I think that if it was a rivalry or a great upset it would be notable as has been the case in baseball, basketball and American football. I don't know enough to make that call though. -- Borameer 16:26, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Good Friday entry?

Does this make sense in hear since the date changes from year to year? I propose no. Any thoughts? Thanks, Hu Gadarn 06:13, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Be careful when using "the"

  • ...the first Greek team to win the European Championships !!!
  • The West!!!

I'd say (and shall write) :

  • The basketball European ... they have football, chess, and so on there!
  • The West of Europe or plain Western world (I suppose it's NOT Australia or US nor Canada (2 entries in The disambiguation page). -- DLL .. T 17:35, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Rwandan Genocide

I removed the words "by extremists" because no-one concretely knows who shot the president's plane down and guesses (no matter how probable they are) don't belong here. A reader can read the article about the genocide to achieve a fuller understanding of this incident Naufana : talk 00:56, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
