Was Francis Drake knighted on April 4? Was he knighted as soon as he stepped off the boat? -- Zoe

When I checked this fact I saw several references to him being knighted while still on his boat. The Queen wanted a portion of his loot that he stole from the Spanish so she was very motivated to "legitimize" Drake's actions by knighting him. This pissed Philip off something fierce. --mav

[edit] Second battle of the Somme in 1918 listed incorrectly?

Should this not list as "The First Battle of the Somme (1918)", considering the timeline states that it ended on April 4 1918? The Second phase (or battle) happened from August 21, 1918 to the (essentially) end of WWI. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tommy6860 (talkcontribs) 04:12, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
