[edit] Life

Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, April grew up in an army family with one sister. The family moved around a great deal, eventually settling in Clarksville, Georgia where her parents ran a home for children with learning difficulties.[1] Her parents split when she was 15.

She studied business at Hofstra University in New York before dropping out to start a modeling and television career [2].

From January 1995 to early 2000, she was married to Al Masini, a television executive.[3].

Masini currently lives in Naples, Florida [4].

[edit] Writing

Date Out Of Your League is described as "a book for the man ready to date the woman he wants and not one he is settling for". Think and Date Like a Man is aimed at "women who are ready to meet the man of their dreams". 50 First Dates lays out ideas for successful first dates, and The Next 50 Dates is a book for committed couples and people looking for more date ideas[5].

[edit] Entertainment executive

April is the President/CEO of Masini Television & Film Enterprises, LLC in Honolulu, and Masini Enterprises, Inc. in Los Angeles. She raised tens of millions of dollars in financing for internationally recognized television and feature film productions, including Baywatch and Blue Crush; produced Destination Stardom, and was the catalyst behind the production and execution of high profile political events, such as the Hawaii Governor's Inaugural Gala, and the internationally recognized television productions Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous and The Miss Universe Pageant[6].

[edit] Political activist

April is known throughout Hollywood and Hawaii for her development and implementation of successful entertainment legislation and educational contests and programs, revolutionary marketing concepts, and campaign strategies that netted 125 jobs for Hawaii residents and delivered over $66 million of international media exposure and advertising from a mere $2.7 million dollar investment[7].

April Masini is widely credited with bringing the television show Baywatch to Hawaii[8].

Acknowledged by Governor Ben Cayetano of Hawaii in Imi Loa magazine with "almost single-handedly reviving Hawaii's television industry," April and Al's impact on that state's entertainment industry led to the state's Governor officially proclaiming June 4th "Masini Day"[9].

[edit] Other work

April also writes content for the two political dating websites she launched, one for democrats and one for republicans[10].
