April Twenty-Five S.G. (Chosŏn'gŭl: 4.25체육단; Hanja: 4.25體育團) is perhaps the most successful football (soccer) team in North Korea with over 10 wins in the DPR Korea League Cup. They play in Namp'o and their stadium is Nampo Stadium. [1] The club's name of April 25 comes from Military Foundation Day and the club belongs to the Korean People's Army.
In July of 1949, the team was founded as Central Sports Training School Sports Group (중앙체육강습소체육단). On 25 June 1971, the name was changed to 4.25 S.G.[2]
