Apperley

Not to be confused with Apperley Bridge in West Yorkshire.
Apperley is a small village in Gloucestershire, England. It is part of the parish of its smaller and more famous neighbour, Deerhurst. It has a thriving cricket club that reached the final of the National Village Cricket Championship in 1998[1] and the England player, Alfred Dipper, who was born in the village,[2] playing in the early 20th century.[citation needed]
