Talk:Apollo Heights

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Apollo Heights have a very large and rather significant past and present cult following. There have been articles written in LA Times, AMG, Pitchfork Media and The Village Voice about this band. They are an African American institution. Their songs have been used in commercials for GM and in films like Juno and Larry Clark's Ken Park. They make socially aware music about the African American experience in the USA. Robin Guthrie of Cocteau Twins produced their latest album as well as albums for their previous band, The Veldt. [edit] Page recreation

As a non-admin editor I was removing the speedy tag from this article whilst at the same time it was deleted. To my surprise I was allowed to recreate undelete it. I have probably stepped on someone's toes, for which I apologise. I know nothing of the band but Google gives loads of hits so would request this is double-checked before speedy deletion. Actually, all I appear to have done is recreate the page rather than undelete it, thus losing the original history of article. Can this be fixed? I shall tag this speedy delete and add a hangon tag to attract attention to this mess I seem to have created! Ros0709 (talk) 07:46, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
The page history has now been fully reverted. Ros0709 (talk) 18:50, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
