Apoula Edima Bete Edel, or simply Apoula Edel (born June 17, 1986 in Ekom I-Mfou), is a Cameroonian goalkeeper. He currently plays for PSG after a move from Rapid Bucharest on August 16, 2007, in a 2 year deal.
Edel has dual nationality and had decided to play international football for Armenia under the French coach Bernard Casoni. He gained his 1st cap against Kazakhstan, in a 3-3 draw on February 19, 2004, in Paphos, Greece.
However, Edel now wishes to play for his homeland Cameroon, and despite his 2 caps for Armenia, he has appealed to FIFA to get this ratified. To add to this, Edel's Armenian club, Pyunik, still claims to hold his registration, which may hamper his plea.
