The Macedonian bee (Apis mellifera macedonica) is a subspecies of Western honey bee. It originates from the territory of Republic of Macedonia, but can be found also in Northern Greece.
The original (native) population of Apis mellifera macedonica is breed in APICENTAR - training and repro centre for beekeeping in Republic of Macedonia.
