Apache Beat are a band formed in New York in 2006. Known specifically for a sound that is both dark and percussive, they describe their music as lying somewhere between "experimental and tribal." It has also been coined "Storm Pop."

Their first release was in October 2007 with a limited pressing 7" release of their single Tropics (b/w Your Powers Are Magic). Apache Beat had their second release in May 2008 with another limited pressing 7" of Blood Thrills (b/w The Western).

An album to be recorded with the legendary producer Martin Bisi at BC Studio, is expected to be released in January 2009.

They have toured in the US, UK and Europe supporting acts such as Deerhunter, Crystal Castles, The Long Blondes, These New Puritans and Les Savy Fav. They are currently touring.
