Anzani 10
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Anzani 10 was an early 10-cylinder air-cooled radial engine used on French and British aircraft of World War I.
The Anzani 10 had 105 x 140mm cylinders, for a displacement of 12.1 Liters (740 cu in), producing 90-100 hp. It was installed in the French-produced Caudron G.3 and later the Caudron G.4 twin-engine airplane, which appeared in March 1915. By the time the United States began sending men to France to learn to fly in 1917, Caudron G.4s were being used for training purposes. Clyde Cessna also used a 120-hp Anzani 10 on his first aircraft, the Cessna A.
