Anway, born in Amravati, a city in the state of Maharashtra in India, 25 years after India re-gained its independence from the British.

His early childhood was in Amravati before he moved to Mumbai, then known as Bombay. He completed his schooling, engineering degree and management masters from there and then joined the corporate world for career choices.

He moved to the USA in 2001 and currently living there - he is married to a girl from Nagpur and has a son.
