Can we agree on this as the definitive format? coor_dms and gbmapping links are a bit redundant but if you like them, I don't mind.
Please note:
- region:GB_scale:100000 added to the coor_dms call
- templates
- Aerial not arial !
Incidentally, I find http://www.streetmap.co.uk better to find places. When you have got the arrow pointing where you want, look at the bottom for "Click here to convert/measure coordinates". That will give you the eastings and northing ready to cut and paste into the mmuknr_map and mmuknr_photo calls. -- RHaworth 22:33, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
- Well the problem is every now and then, someone comes along on this long term project and decides they have a better idea, and starts a revert war. Thats why, after cleaning up the intial entires, ive not managed to get past 'B' in filling in, every time i do, i end up going back through the ones Ive done to satisfy someones whim. At some point, we have to say enough is enough, and unless we now leave it as is, we will never get the rest done. Your just another one of these passer's by who think they know better. Ive been here before and got the T shirt. Once Ive messed around and wasted time doing these changes, some other smartass will be along in another 6 months with another bright idea. Hence you can see im not to keen on making yet another change to the layout, on the whim of someone who isnt prepared to spend the time needed to make all this change to all the existing articles. As I said, the one you did do were a random selection, which was even worse. -- user:lincspoacher
And as I said is there another way I could have found them, reliably, in alphabetical order? I hesitate to get personal, but I feel you may be taking an overly possessive attitude to the articles. -- RHaworth 04:18, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
WOW, pit-yacker, your ability to take an article that was easy on the eye to read and turn it into a dense mass of linked unreadable text is pretty awesome. Do you REALLY HONESTLY think that compressing the page into the minimum space is a good plan ?
