Talk:Anu (disambiguation)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In The Papyrus of Ani (The Egyptian Book of the Dead), 240 BC, translated by E.A. Wallis Budge, I found this passage: "Thou art the Prince of divine food in Anu". I'm wondering if Anu is also the name of an Egyptian god, independent of those listed.

- Budge is quite old, so try to look at something more recent, like Faulkner's version. :-) The "Anu" that you refer to is transliterated 'Iwnw', and is the ancient name for ancient Heliopolis. Hope that helps. ;-)211.30.58.23 (talk) 14:38, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
