[edit] Fair use rationale for An Unearthly Child
This image, Anunearthlychild.jpg, is a screen shot from a doctor who episode, and copyrighted by the BBC, I futurehawk|talk 19:00, 27 September 2007 (UTC)) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use law because:
- The image is a low-resolution (741 × 556) screen shot from a 25-minute episode of Doctor Who, and of inferior quality to standard broadcast or DVD releases;
- The image is being used for informational purposes, visually depicting the main characters of the show's first season, the Doctor, Ian, Barbara and Susan, together for the first time;
- No more free alternative exists or can exist;
- The use of the image in this article will have no effect on the BBC’s commercial use of the image in question.
