[edit] your article

hello there, thank you for putting in that article about the Crown of D. Pedro II (Imperial Crown of Brazil). I assume you did not take the information from the any websites verbatim word-for-word and this is all your personal knowledge? Because on Wikipedia we cannot allow word for word copies from other websites as that would be an infrindement of copyrights. concerning the images you have uploaded of the crown and the emperor, they are really nice as well. I cannot judge if the arguments you have given are valid, however you would still need to tag your images. All images on Wikipedia have to be tagged in some form or another. You might want to check this page Wikipedia:Image copyright tags to see which category fits.

Last but not least, I was thinking about moving the name of the article, however since you are the creator it is obviously best to get in contact with you first. The name you have chosen is somewhat unusual from its format and probably needs to be changed to fit into the normal patterns of naming on Wikipedia. Since the article is talking about the Imperial Crown (which "started", if you will, as the Crown of Don Pedro), why not simply rename it as such, Imperial Crown of Brazil? For references check out this article Imperial Crown of Austria, which seems similar. If we are talking however of only personal crowns that were only used for a single royal, take a look here Crown of Queen Mary, or Crown of Wilhelm II. However since your article seems to be referring to the general crown of Brazil that was used after Don Pedro by other emperors as well, maybe best to rename it simply as Imperial Crown of Brazil. Well I am sure you have enough to do, however if you have any questions or need some input, feel free to contact me. obrigado.. Gryffindor 00:51, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Wikiality

"Reading this the only conclusion I reach is that the protecting of this page DOES NOT meet Wikipedia´s own policy." I hope you understand that Wikipedia has policy and rules only as a means of building the encyclopedia. When something needs to be done in order to build, improve or maintain the encyclopedia we can ignore rules and policy. In the case of "wikiality", there are two basic choices for Wikipedia: place an account of "wikiality" on a page such as List of The Colbert Report episodes or start a whole new article for this topic. I think most administrators feel that "wikiality" does not need a page of its own. What harm could be done by allowing Wikipedians to edit the Wikiality article? It is likely that the article would be small and that it would be proposed for deletion. Rather than go down that path, the page was protected from editing. I suspect that is you started a "request for coments" on this matter, you would be able to find an administrator who will take the protection off of Wikiality. However, my advice is to just content yourself to edit the existing articles about Colbert. If, after six months or so "wikiality" becomes a big subject in popular culture, go back to Wikiality and propose on the talk page that protection be lifted. --JWSchmidt 23:19, 4 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Coroagrande1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Coroagrande1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Oden 17:44, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Fala do Trono.jpg

Hi there; actually, there is no sense to consider the above image of restricted copyright, since it was painted in the XIX century. The Imperial Museum of Petropolis cannot hold the copyright of it - the author died more than 70 years ago. Thanks. --Tonyjeff 17:20, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
