[edit] Ranking Minority Member

This almost certainly is incorrect. Ranking generally means having the most seniority and he has 2 weeks of service. TonyTheTiger 17:43, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Explanation of Ranking Minority Member

The title is given the senator in the minority party who is designated the lead senator of that party on the committee. In New York State, all freshmen senators in the minority party are ranking members on a committee.
