Talk:Anti-Machiavel
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Appears to be a really long essay about The Prince (Machiavelli). Not encyclopedic. Tuf-Kat 03:26, Mar 30, 2004 (UTC)

- Actually its a famous essay by Frederick the Great (which I didn't know until just now, see [2] and original full source here [3]). Probably is worthy of an article, but should be stubbified and placed on cleanup. I don't know about copyright status of this particular translation. -- Decumanus | Talk 03:55, 30 Mar 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Removed Possibly Incorrect Quote
The quote attributed to Voltaire in this article, "If Machiavelli were alive today and an adviser to a Prince, the first thing he would advise him to do would be to publicly denounce Machiavelli," is quite possibly incorrect. A Google search of it brings up only Wikipedia. Better be safe and remove it than mess up hundreds of kids' essays :P If anyone finds evidence of this quote being correct, please place it back into the article with a citation.
