J. Ximeno lo dibujó; Ml. Alegre lo grabó, D.Ml.Sr. Carmona lo concluyó.

Inscripción al pie de la estampa: "ANTONIO PEREZ, Sublime Estadista, y Político Filósofo. Secretario del REY FELIPE II: tan famoso por sus infortunios como por sus escritos. Nació en Madrid en 1544. y murió en Paris en 1611."

Esta imagen es similar y probablemente esté inspirada en el retrato de Antonio Pérez por Ponz que se conserva en el monasterio de El Escorial. Ambas imagenes pueden verse reproducidas en el tomo VI de las Obras Completas de Gregorio Marañón.
