The Antrim Senior Hurling Club Championship is an annual club competition between the top Antrim Gaelic Athletic Association Clubs. The winners of the Antrim Championship qualify to represent their county in the Ulster Senior Club Hurling Championship and in turn, go on to the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship. The current hurling champions of Antrim are Ruairí Óg of Cushendall who went on to the Ulster Final and were defeated by Ballygalget of Down. McQuillans of Ballycastle have won the Antrim Club hurling championship on the most occasions (17). The first Antrim hurling championship took place in 1901. The 2006 championship was contested by Cushendall and Loughgiel Shamrocks on October 15. Cushendall beat Loughgiel by a scoreline of 2-14 to 2-7 to retain the Antrim Senior Hurling title. The 2006 win is the 10th Antrim Senior Hurling title that Cushendall have won. Loughgiel Shamrocks continued their final losing streak with a 1-16 to 0-16 loss to Dunloy Cuchullains in the 2007 championship.
