Antony and Cleopatra is a 1972 film adaptation of the play of the same name by William Shakespeare made by theRank Organisation. It was directed by Charlton Heston and produced by Peter Snell from a screenplay by Federico De Urrutia and the director.
The film stars Charlton Heston and Hildegard Neil in the title roles, with Eric Porter, John Castle, Fernando Rey, Carmen Sevilla, Freddie Jones and Douglas Wilmer. The film received poor reviews and, as a consequence, a very limited release in the USA.
