Antony Gardner

Antony John Gardner (born 27 December 1927) was the Labour Member of Parliament for Rushcliffe from the 1966 general election until the 1970 general election, when he was defeated by Kenneth Clarke of the Conservative Party. In the February 1974 general election, Gardner was unsuccessful in his bid to win the Beeston constituency.
He moved to the south coast and in 1994 stood for the European Parliament in Dorset.
