Antonio Silva is a Brazilian mixed martial arts fighter. He usually fights in the super heavyweight division, and is considered one of the best fighters in that weight class. Silva is a skilled striker, and is very agile for a super heavyweight. He was the one man many people thought capable of defeating PRIDE'S Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko, but his reputation suffered after a disappointing loss to Super Heavyweight KOTC champion Eric Pele at BodogFight's inaugural event. Though some claimed it was a slip, Antonio accepted defeat graciously. His most recent fight was at Elite XC where he defeated Ricco Rodriguez by split decision on 2/16/08. He is extremely agile and strong but also has a reputable Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu background. He has competed in organizations such as HERO'S, BodogFight and Elite Xtreme Combat.
Silva won his last match to former UFC Champion Ricco Rodriguez at EliteXC: Street Certified by split decision.
