Antonio Márquez Ramírez

Antonio Márquez Ramírez (born May 22, 1936) is a retired Mexican football referee. He is known for having refereed two matches in the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. He was one of the top Mexican referees on his time, he retired shortly after the World Cup in a match between América vs Chivas de Guadalajara at the Estadio Azteca which culminated in a big fight between the two teams when Fernando Quirarte was sent off by Márquez and then Quirarte was kicked in the chin by Carlos Hermosillo who was also sent off, then Hermosillo in his way out kicked Quirarte in the face when he was down and that started the brawl, which culmitated in the game suspended at the 72th minute and sending off every member of both teams.
