Antonio Jose Diaz is a Venezuelan karateka best known for winning a bronze medal at the end of WKF World Championships in karate 2002, 2004 and 2006 in the men's individual kata. He has also won the Pan American Karate Federation, Pan American Senior Championships, Gold Medal, in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, Diaz won 3rd Place at the Pan American Senior Championships in Mexico. Antonio has been dominating the sport of karate for some time, in the kata division. His main rival, is current world champion Luca Valdesi. Their meetings have been fierce, 11 in total, with the Venezuelan having won more of their competitions.
More Recently, Diaz won the Gold Medal at the Pan American Senior Games, 2008 in Venezuela. He was also the Kata Gold medalist at the US Open 2008
