Antonio Gonzales (born May 16, 1986 in Lima) is a Peruvian football midfielder playing for Universitario de Deportes.
He is sometimes referred to as the successor of Jose Luis Carranza because he plays with the same passion and love for the team. His extremely aggressive style of play make his rivals fear him when facing him even though he is shorter than most players. In 2008 he had a son and named him Mayer Simao in honor to his teammate Mayer Candelo and Atletico de Madrid midfielder Simao Sabrosa.
