[edit] Break up
On August 6, 2007, Antistatic drummer Brody posted a blog on the band's MySpace page, acknowledging the end of Anstistatic. The decision to break up had reportedly been made some weeks before. The decision was made to break up the band because Basin beat up his girlfriend on tour.

Antistatic have received significant press coverage in magazines such as Xpress[5] Rockus [6], and airplay of the band's latest single, "Stand Up In Disguise", on radio stations nationwide, including Nova in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.
