Doctor Anthony Trueman was a fictional character in the popular BBC soap opera EastEnders. He was played by the British actor Nicholas Bailey.
[edit] Character personal history
Anthony is the brother of Paul and the son of Patrick, the brains of an otherwise dysfunctional family. Anthony worked as a doctor in the Square.
Anthony had a cradle-snatching relationship with Albert Square's resident teen Zoe Slater; unsurprisingly the relationship fell through after Anthony realised he still loved Zoe's mother Kat who he had dated previously.
He rekindled his relationship with Kat soon after but Kat broke up with him after she realised he wasn't who she wanted. Anthony left the Square in 2003 to go travelling.
He made brief returns to the Square in 2004 for his father Patrick's wedding to Yolande and in 2005 for Paul's funeral.

The character of Anthony Trueman has been spoofed in the cartoon sketch show 2DTV.
