Anthony Ruys

Anthony Ruys (born July 20, 1947) is a former Chairman of the Executive Board of Heineken N.V. Ruys studied commercial law at the University of Utrecht. He started his career for Unilever where he worked as marketing director and chairman for various subsidiaries of Unilever in the Netherlands, Colombia and Italy.

In September 1993, Mr. Ruys continued his career at the Heineken Group, where he became Executive Board Member, responsible a.o. for marketing. In September 1996 he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Executive Board.
