Anthony Rothschild

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Sir Anthony Rothschild, 1st Baronet (29 May 18104 January 1876) was the first president of the United Synagogue (1870-1876). He was a member of the Rothschild family, being the brother of Lionel Nathan Rothschild.

He was a United Kingdom baronet and an Austrian baron. (He had two daughters but no sons, so the baronetcy was extinguished on his death.) Like many of his relatives, he lived in an estate on the Buckinghamshire-Bedfordshire borders.
