Anthony Obodai (born 8 May 1982 in Accra [1]) is a Ghanaian football player, currently playing for RKC Waalwijk. He is a hard working central midfielder. He has played for Ghana.

Anthony signed for Ajax Amsterdam in 2001 [2], but did not make his league debut until 2004, against SC Heerenveen.[2]
[edit] Sparta
Anthony signed for Sparta Rotterdam in 2005 [2], after a proposed move to English side Luton Town collapsed.[3] He was made club captain.[2] However, on 29 January 2007 it was announced that he had had a training-ground bust-up with Sparta coach Wiljan Vloet and wanted to leave the club[2]; teams including PSV, Feyenoord, RKC Waalwijk and OGC Nice were all said to be interested.[2]

On 31 January 2007 it was announced that Anthony had signed for RKC Waalwijk on a contract which runs until June 2010 [4]
On February 3 he played his first Eredivisie match for RKC against NAC Breda [5]
